ST. AUGUSTINE SHIPYARD WELCOMES CULINARY OUTFITTERS
Bigger and better is the idea behind Culinary Outfitters’ plan to bring a 250-seat restaurant to the waterfront of the St. Augustine Shipyards. Chase Pritchard, chef and owner of the popular lunch bistro on South Dixie Highway, said he has been planning the project in collaboration with Gary Vose, manager of the St. Augustine Shipyards, for about four years now.
That St. Augustine Shipyard’s vision includes a mix of more restaurants, retail, hotels and other lodging options, as well as a public promenade that will run parallel to the San Sebastian River. Already located at the 50-acre site is a 325-boat storage facility and a few other businesses, including Kookaburra Coffee. A boat club and dock are part of the property, and a children’s museum is also planned. Read the rest of the story…

ST. AUGUSTINE SHIPYARD WELCOMES BEAMISH CUSTOM TACKLE
Owner Capt. Roland Beamish was born and raised on Nantucket Island. Fishing
has never been a hobby for Roland—it’s a way of life. Roland started fishing as a young teenager and by age 18 he had won his first major competition, the Nantucket Billfish Tournament. Since then he’s traveled up and down the east coast and into the Caribbean, learning more about the skill and art of fishing, especially for the pelagic variety of fish. Since his first win in 1997, Roland has won awards in ten major tournaments including the Hyannis Bluewater Tournament (2004-2006), the Bahamas Billfish Championship (2008) and the Tri-State Championship (2006).
Somewhere along the way he began making his own lures, some of which helped him win the above awards. After experiencing so much success with his homemade lures, Roland decided that he wanted to share his tackle with the rest of the fishing world.
Beamish Custom Tackle was launched in 2006 and has been growing ever since. We are very happy and excited to be operating out of the St Augustine Shipyard located in unit 111. We will be officially opening our doors on January 18, 2018 but if

ST. AUGUSTINE SHIPYARD PROPOSED HOTEL PROPERTY
THE START OF PHASE II.
The St. Augustine shipyard is proud and honored to accept the Florida Clean Marina award given by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection! The Florida Clean Marina program is a voluntary designation program with a proactive approach to environmental stewardship. Participants receive assistance in implementing best management practices through on-site and distance technical assistance, mentoring by other clean marinas and continuing education. To become designated as a clean marina, facilities must implement a set of environmental best management practices (bmp) designed to protect Florida’s waterways. These bmp’s address critical environmental issues such as sensitive habitat, waste management, storm water control, spill prevention and emergency preparedness. Designated facilities and those facilities seeking designation receive ongoing technical support from the Florida Clean Marina Program and the Clean Boating Partnership.
